Whirlwind Week
Happy Saturday! Today I woke up to sunshine (vs the big white snowflakes I woke up to yesterday) and I knew it would be a good day. I grabbed my coffee and decided to reflect on this past week.
This was a particularly exciting week for me. I got back from a quick trip to BC on Monday evening and knew I had a bunch of work to catch up on. Orders to fill, blog posts to write and a website to finish! My to-do list was long and my work week was shorter but I was determined to launch the site May 1st.
After a lot of frustration, time and even more love, the new AKA website went live on Thursday at 7am. I was finally able to share it with you and the rest of the world. It was scary, exciting, exhilarating, and a bit nerve racking.
By 8:30am I had a few happy tears welling in my eyes... I couldn't believe the response from family, friends, and people I hadn't even met before. Friend's sharing my website with all their friends/family and sharing on their blogs and business pages. I was humbled and honoured by everyone's support, encouragement and hi-fives.
On top of the website launch, AKA was featured on 2 awesome blogs this week.
The first was Amber Chalus' A Beautiful Life Blog. Amber is my new friend and yoga instructor and a Beautiful Life Designer. Her Tuesday yoga classes are something I am always looking forward to and I love her weekly email newsletter. She is a true beauty - inside and out!
The second was on the MJ&Co blog. MJ&Co are professional Wedding and Portrait photographers located in Saskatoon. I met with this dynamic team (Matt, Janna, & Julie) when I was newly engaged. They were initially my engagement/wedding photographers but soon turned into friends! They have all been huge supporters of AKA and were fabulous at capturing my engagement and wedding!
Make sure you go check out both posts and give them all some love.
So yes, this week was a whirlwind, but it was a fantastic week for Alexandra Kathlyn Accessories. Thank you all for your support - without you, AKA wouldn't even be possible.
Now, go enjoy the day!
Congrats on launching the site! I remember visibly shaking when I went to launch my site – you put your heart and soul into the representation of your business – you just want it to fit into the picture that you envision! The site looks great and your jewelry is beautiful! xo
Best,
Brittany
