Our hope is that when you wear a piece from AKA, it will serve as a reminder that you are valuable, beautiful, one of a kind and incomparable.

We gather inspiration for our jewelry and accessories from the people and places in our life.

Our pieces often feature natural elements such as gemstones, pearls and various shells and almost always gold chains and details, including 14kt gold filled.

Everything is lovingly and intentionally handmade, in our small studio in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. 

Each piece in the collection is made in small quantities so they are purposefully and carefully made.

Hi, I'm Alex!

I'm the CEO (Chief Everything Officer) of Alex Kathlyn Accessories, the wearer of all the hats and maker of the pretty things.

Creating jewelry has been a lifelong creative outlet, from wire wrapped rings, colourful friendship bracelets to statement earrings and now permanent jewelry.

AKA was originally born out of necessity but it has evolved into a beautiful business that is more than just jewelry.

When I became a new wife and then a new mom, I questioned my value and worth. My confidence was at an all time low.

But it was through making a gemstone bracelet, that I realized my value didn't come from looking like everyone else or doing things the way others did.

That like each gemstone bead, we are all unique and have our own story and purpose.

I never want you to feel like you need to wear a certain style or have a specific relationship status to wear AKA or be a part of this community.
